""This is a real breakthrough CD for Josh. The songs are everything from upbeat, catchy tunes to soulful, poignant ballads. Josh Lamkin has some of the broadest appeal of singer songwriters on the listening room circuit, and this CD captures his style and personality very well. Great stuff!" --David Sardinha, Owner, The Six String Cafe & Music Hall
"Though we think we've heard it all before, or think we have, every now and again a new singer or a new song slips in to remind us that creation isn't over yet, that the soundtrack isn't finished. Josh Lamkin, I think, is likely to slip in and stick, and I'm not alone in that opinion." --Rapid River Magazine

The Players (with notes from Josh):

Eliot Wadopian: Grammy Award-Winning bassist from the Paul Winter Consort plays upright bass on "Not Above That" and "Tied Up In My Tongue." Yeah, one of those Grammys. Let's just say I didn't have to ask Eliot to do anything over.

Beth Woodsings harmony on "Same Old Dream" and "All I Got." Beth took time off from recording her new CD and doing like 76 gigs in Tennessee to slather a little soul onto my songs.

Chris Rosseralthough Chris constantly begged me to let him do a screaming wah-wah sitar solo on every song, and although he insisted that having his one-year-old son play percussion on every song would be the way to stardom for me, we still managed to kick tasty grooves. Chris is still very tall.

River Guerguerian: plays drums and drum loops and, by the way, can play in any time signature you throw at him so don't waste your time trying to stump him. Anyone named after a body of water is okay in my book.

Stephanie Corby: sings harmony on "Tied Up In My Tongue" and learned her part and sang it perfectly in like five minutes. She loves it when you call her "Daaahling."

Frank Southecorvoplays saxes on "Everyday" and "Secret Life" and is president of The People With Ethnic-Sounding Last Names Who Played On a Josh Lamkin CD Club (honorary members include EliotWadopian and River Guerguerian).
